The news has been rumored for a Suicide Squad based movie for a while now, and since I haven't posted in a while, let me give you the round-up. David Ayer (Fury) is directing the film. Jai Courtney is Captain Boomerang, Will Smith will play Deadshot, Margot Robbie is Harley Quinn, Cara Delevingne is 'Enchantress', Tom Hardy is Rick Flagg, with Jared Leto as Joker and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. You read right for all of that.
Anyhoo, The last couple of weeks, we've been getting rumors on who could play the director of 'Task Force X' known only as Amanda Waller. Oprah Winfrey and a few others were rumored for the part, but it seems the role is cast, as Viola Davis (Ender's Game, How to Get Away With Murder) has taken the part, according to Latino Review. Davis (49) certainly looks and acts the part, and I can't wait to see her and the rest of the crew on the big screen on August 5, 2016!
