SUPERMAN RETURNS Star Brandon Routh Joins ARROW; Not Playing Who You'd Expect

Many people hated Brandon Routh's portrayal of Superman in Bryan Singer's 2006 film flop, Superman Returns. However, it seems he has a chance to redeem his acting career, as he has just been cast in season 3 of the CW's Arrow. And I'll relieve the pain, he's not playing Superman. Read on to see who he will play!

Well, It looks as if DC is trying to get another hero on the screen before Marvel. First they did it with The Flash/Quicksilver, now with Ant-Man hitting theaters next year, it seems as if Brandon Routh will play Ray Palmer, also known as The Atom, another size-changing scientist ready to do good for mankind. A character description can be seen below...

"An unparalleled scientist and inventor, Ray will play an unexpected role in the lives of Oliver and Felicity as the new owner of Queen Consolidated. Palmer’s plans for Queen Consolidated’s Applied Sciences Division will be shrouded in mystery." Word has it that Routh's role will last for 14 episodes, and he'll be a love interest for Felicity.
