Now as far as the animated series goes, last year, right before the film's release a graphic novel was released titled Pacific Rim: Tales From Year Zero. I didn't read it (yet), so I'm not sure who all the characters are, or what timeline it is set in. All I know is, the new animated TV show will be based on that graphic novel. Guillermo Del Toro Announces PACIFIC RIM Sequel, As Well As An... Animated Series?!?
You heard dang right! It's been rumored since the original film's release last year, but Hellboy director Guillermo Del Toro has just announced a sequel to the well-awaited Pacific Rim. And it seems that The Incredible Hulk, X-Men: The Last Stand, and Elektra screenwriter Zak Penn will help write the film. So he's had experience with comic book films before, unfortunately 2 out of 3 were strikes.
